Kevin Butt

Professor, Agriculture, Ellsworth Community College

Kevin grew up on a diversified crop and livestock farm near Iowa Falls and has lived in the Iowa Falls area his whole life. He was active in 4-H and FFA growing up and was a State Vice-President for the Professional Ag Students (PAS) Organization while attending Ellsworth Community College. After graduating from Iowa State University, Kevin spent several years in the animal health industry before moving into the Information Technology industry for about 10 years where he designed software applications for agriculture and law enforcement.

Kevin joined Ellsworth Community College in 2004 as an agricultural science instructor and has been there ever since. At ECC, he mainly teaches courses in beef production and precision ag technology, helps manage the college’s 133-acre college farm, and works with numerous college partnerships domestically and across Europe. Currently, Kevin serves on the National PAS Board of Directors where he also coordinates the Precision Ag contest.
