Gary Nijak Jr., PE, serves as the COO and Vice President of Business Development at aerialPLOT, a software analytics firm specializing in agricultural research insights using aerial imagery. He has a rich background in biological products development and commercialization in North and South America, having been the CEO of Green and Grow Inc and worked extensively in private equity and venture-backed companies. His expertise spans metabolites, small molecules, living biologicals, and more. Notably, his fieldwork has been adventurous, with two close encounters with anteaters during field trials.
Before his agricultural career, Nijak focused on environmental product development in engineering, working on projects like heavy metal remediation, IED detection, pathogen sensors, and soil stabilization with biobased products. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MS in Environmental Engineering from Southern Methodist University. As a registered professional engineer in Colorado, Nijak now resides in Minnesota with his family.
